Database of Attorneys in Bristol
John Lyes, who is a retired solicitor, has compiled this database which contains details of most solicitors and attorneys, practising in Bristol between 1740 and 1899 and a few before these dates. There are an impressive 1100+ entries offering a very useful resource for local historians. You can download the database free of charge.
